Former President Bush called all Americans to volunteer 2 years or the equivalent of 4000 hours of service to their communities over the course of their lifetime. To assist the citizens of Belvidere in fulfilling that call, the City of Belvidere has established a Citizen Corps Council. Current residents interested in learning about how they can help in the fight to keep our homeland safe can check out our Belvidere Citizens Corps page. The City of Belvidere Police Department's Vounteers in Policing program offers another unique way to volunteer in the community.
Be sure to visit the Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce, Belvidere Park District, and Growth Dimensions websites, to catch a glimpse of some of the excitement and opportunity the City of Belvidere has to offer.
I know you will want to come back again soon!
