The Belvidere City Clerk’s Office is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Assistant Clerk for Belvidere City Hall.

The successful candidate will report directly to the City Clerk and shall be able to handle a multi-task environment. Responsibilities will include answering a multi-line telephone system, assisting customers, accounts receivable and accounts payable and any other assistance that the City Clerk’s staff may need.

Applicants must be people-oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office is required. Experience working in the legal field preferred.
